I got a new deck!
Sunday, 19 November 2017 02:20 pmShadowscapes Tarot is absolutely a thing of beauty.
I'm using the deck interview spread here below:
1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
Queen of Cups: "The very being of the Queen of Cups is a creative nexus. She is poetry in motion, imagination incarnate. [...] [S]he is attuned to that otherworld and finds joy in that communion of kindred spirits."
2. What are your strengths as a deck?
Page of Pentacles: opportunity, dreams, visions, specifically of material comfort and stability--in potential
3. What are your limits as a deck?
The Magician: "Originality, creativity, skill, willpower, self-confidence, dexterity, and sleight of hand."
4. What are you here to teach me?
Ten of Wands: "Overextending, taking on far too much, burdened with overwhelming responsibility, being held accountable, doing things the hard way."
5. How can I best learn and collaborate with you?
The Emperor: "Creating order out of chaos, authority, leadership, strength, establishing law and order."
6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
Six of Cups: "a reminder of childhood innocence, good intentions, noble impulses, simple joys and pleasures. It is not meant to be overly sentimental, but more an urging to remember the open-mindedness of a child's perspective, and to push back the narrowness that folds in on you over time, with the complexities of life and responsibility."
This all kind of sounds like Shadowscapes is a good deck for me to use for regular draws to inspire creative work? :-D
